Fremantle Volunteer Sea Rescue

What We Do

Fremantle Sea Rescue is one of Australia’s busiest Sea Rescue groups.

In 2015 we responded to 712 calls for assistance.

We are a registered charity of volunteers which is proud to be part of DFES - the network of Western Australia Fire and Emergency Services.

Our Promise

We operate 24 hours a day every day of the year and will attend to any boater or water-user in distress who needs assistance.

We take this responsibility seriously and train hard to maintain the highest standards of skill and professionalism.

Most of our operational costs are state government funded via DFES, however we also rely on our network of affiliate members and corporate sponsors to meet our capital costs and to run our RWC lifeguard service. Community TAB is the principal partner of the Community Services Unit. Channel 7 and The West Australian are our media partners.
