Marine Assistance & Log On

Fremantle Marine Rescue has been assisting the boating and water using public of WA for over 47 years. We are a deductible gift recipient, run by volunteers who willingly dedicate their personal time to help others in need on the water. We cover the waters around Fremantle, including Rottnest Island and both the Swan and Canning Rivers.

Our team of over 100 volunteers provide around the clock vessel assistance, radio coverage, education and safety awareness to Perth’s water-bound public. Every minute of every day, we have operators manning the radios and boat crews standing by or on patrol, waiting for the call.

Fremantle Marine Rescue utilises a fleet of 4 purpose built rescue vessels and two jetskis, equipped with the very latest in search and rescue equipment and technologies. These rescue assets are strategically located throughout our coverage area to minimise response times to any given incident.

Our Rescue Operations centre on Cantonment Hill in Fremantle is home to the More & Meehan Radio Room; one of the most advanced facilities of its kind in the country. The centre also incorporates training, meeting and administration facilities, all critical to the efficient operation of the organisation.
