Originally launched in 2010, Gemini 1 was extensively refitted and updated in 2018. The vessel is capable of reaching speeds over 50 knots, while the fully enclosed cabin and four shock mitigating seats keep they crew safe and dry. Gemini 1 is especially suited to rapid response situations such as medical evacuations, when time is critical. The vessel’s smaller form factor also allow it to fit under more bridges, and therefore travel further up the Swan River than the larger catamarans in the fleet.
Gemini 1’s replacement is currently under construction and is due to enter the fleet in the 2023/24 financial year.
