Fremantle Marine Rescue offers the LROCP radio course
This course covers in-depth radio procedures and protocols for VHF and long range HF marine radios. This is a nationally recognised course and is required by law for those operating VHF or HF radios. For those wanting to obtain a VHF only certificate, we also provide the option of sitting the SROCP exam, which excludes HF, the course content and cost however is the same.
Marine Radio Operators handbooks are available to purchase either at time of booking, or on the day for $55. Participants must bring a passport sized photo of themselves and recognised photo ID.
What time does the course run?
The course runs once a month on a Saturday, subject to demand, from 8.30am to 3pm (approx). Please check the dates below.
Please note the last booking date for this course is one week before, in order to obtain the relevant attendee course documentation.
We are able to arrange special courses for groups at any time, just contact us to make arrangements.

Where is the course held?
We will confirm the location closer to the time – either at our training centre at 45 Mews Road, Fremantle or at our Rescue Operations Centre, Cantonment Hill, Fremantle.
Water and soft drinks are available for $1 each.
