Recreational Skipper's Ticket
Do I need a Recreational Skipper’s Ticket?
If you want to drive a motor powered vessel over 6 horsepower in W.A. you're going to need a Recreational Skippers Ticket (RST). Having an RST shows that you have the knowledge and practical skills needed to operate a boat safely on the water.
There must be at least one person on the vessel at all times that holds a RST. This doesn't mean that they must be at the wheel the whole time but it does mean they are responsible for what happens on the vessel during the course of the voyage.
Sea Rescue is the perfect place to learn how to skipper your boat safely and with skill.
Sign up today for one of our fun and informative RST courses. All training is conducted by friendly and experienced Sea Rescue personnel. No experience is necessary, you will be given all the relevant instruction.
